This timely session unveiled Version 3 of AHIMA’s Patient Naming Policy Framework, updated to reflect today’s digital health environment and naming equity considerations. Participants learned how to operationalize consistent naming conventions, reduce duplicate record error rates, and strengthen MPI/EMPI performance. The session provided actionable insights to improve identity integrity—one name at a time.
